Train Accommodations and Tours Aboard the
Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express

Three styles of accommodation are available on trips aboard The Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express: Imperial Suites, Gold Class and Silver Class. Imperial Suites feature a king size bed, while, Gold and Silver Class cabins are furnished with an upper/lower berth configuration.

Imperial Suites
The Imperial Suites are the most beautiful and spacious cabins available onboard the Golden Eagle.  Measuring a surprising 120 sq ft (11.2 sq meters), they are furnished with a luxurious King Size bed, dedicated seating area, dressing table and private en-suite facilities with large power shower and underfloor heating.  Individual air-conditioning, wardrobe, DVD/CD player with LCD screen and two large picture windows make the cabin a pleasant retreat. Imperial Suite guests also enjoy butler service, a selection of complimentary drinks from the premium bar list, laundry service and room upgrades at hotels.

Gold Class
Gold Class cabins are among the best in international rail travel today and feature modern en-suite amenities including power showers and under floor heating. Cabins are well-appointed and equipped with state of the art DVD/CD player, LCD screen, audio system, individual air conditioning, recessed lighting and wardrobe space. Each cabin is configured with upper and lower berths, and can accommodate double, twin or single occupancy.

Gold Class cabin dimensions - 5 compartments/carriage:

    Cabin Area (total, including bathroom) - 77 sq ft (7 sq m)
    Cabin Length - 6' 7"  (2 m)
    Cabin Width - 11' 8"  (3.6 m)
    Size of bathroom - 6' 6" x 4'
    Lower bed width - 4' 5" (1.35m)
    Upper bed width - 2' 9" (85 cm)
    Bed Length - 6' 2" (1.9 m)

Lower bed converts to a sofa for daytime use.

Silver Class
Silver Class cabins are smaller than Gold Class cabins but still have en-suite facilities, though with a smaller shower area. Silver Class cabins feature the same amenities as Gold Class cabins but in a smaller space.

Silver Class cabin dimensions - 6 compartments/carriage:

    Cabin length - 6' 3" (1.9 m)
    Cabin width - 9'
    Size of bathroom - 4' 6" x 3'

Life Aboard the Train

Bar/Lounge Cars
A Bar/Lounge Car is included in the formation of the train. The lounge offers a relaxing and comfortable area where you can enjoy a drink and gather with other passengers around the piano.

Dining Cars
Dining Cars feature Russian and European cuisine complemented by a selection of local and European wines.

On all private trains, towels and toiletries are provided and onboard laundry service is available. Each sleeping car has its own highly qualified attendants who provide bed turndown service. Bottled water is available on request 24 hours a day.

Join travelers from around the world to enjoy the relaxed and casual environment onboard, with no need to wear formal attire on excursions or while dining.

Hotel Accommodations
The first and last nights in Moscow, Vladivostok and UlaanBaatar (three nights in UlaanBaatar on Mongolian Route) of the tour are spent in well-appointed four and five star hotels. Additional nights before and after the tour can be arranged on request.


Off-Train Tours
Rail journeys feature an extensive line-up of educational city tours of the various stops on our routes. Private coaches and local guides whisk you away from your "hotel on wheels" for fascinating half- or full-day forays into the principal towns and cities, sometimes including an in-city dining opportunity.
