center. Pay a visit to 7th century Amberd Fortress en route to Gyumri.
Days 5-6: Vardzia, Bakuriani, Borjomi, Kutaisi
Crossing the Georgian
border to alpine Bakuriani, explore the imposing cave town of Vardzia. Visit the spa town
of Borjomi and dine with locals in Kutaisi, home to UNESCO-listed Gelati Monastery.
Days 7-9: Svaneti Region
