Days 1-3: Moscow
Begin in Moscow, Russia’s flourishing capital city. Recognize the simple beauty of Red Square, framed by the elaborate cupolas of St. Basil’s Cathedral and the red brick Kremlin wall. Visit the Tretyakov Gallery and the Armory Museum, housing Russian treasures.
Board the overnight train, itself a quintessential Russian experience, on its way to St. Petersburg, Peter the Great’s imperial capital.
Days 4-7: St. Petersburg
mmerse yourself in the opulence
of Catherine’s Palace and Pavlovsk. Wander the Hermitage Museum, one of the world’s great museums, a feast of celebrated artwork, antiquities and historical artifacts. At Peter the Great’s summer palace, Peterhof, admire the glistening marble and granite fountains that adorn the Lower Park. Just off Nevsky Prospekt, discover the magnificent
blue and gold cupolas of the Church of the Savior on the Blood.
