Surround yourself with music and dance in some of the finest opera and ballet theaters in the world, gliding from city to city on the distinctive Golden Eagle private train. This cultural exploration of Moscow, Odessa, Kiev and St. Petersburg is filled with special experiences and once-in-a-lifetime events, such as a world-class performance in Moscow's Bolshoi Theater and a private reception hosted by Lady Solti, Chairman of the Mariinsky Theater Trust.

Days 1-2: Moscow, board the Golden Eagle

In magnificent Moscow attend a ballet or opera performance at the world-famous Bolshoi Theater. Take a walking tour of iconic UNESCO-listed Red Square with St. Basil's Cathedral. Board the luxurious Golden Eagle private train for departure to the Golden Ring.

Day 3: Vladimir, Suzdal

Tour the luminous UNESCO-listed Assumption Cathedral in Vladimir, rising gracefully from the surrounding countryside. Continue to Suzdal, where the impeccable male Blagovest Choir performs for the group.

Day 4: Kiev

The tour today includes Kiev's UNESCO-listed Caves Monastery, founded in 1051. Attend a performance at Kiev's Opera House, glowing with bronze, marble and gilded carvings.

Day 5: Odessa

Always considered a cultural center, Odessa has produced some of the world's finest classical performers. Enjoy a performance at the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater, a recognizable symbol of the city.

Day 6-7:

A relaxing day onboard can include a lecture on Russian classical music by Geoffrey Baskerville, former arts programmer for British radio. Enjoy a performance by an ensemble from the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. Arrive in Pushkin and tour Catherine's Palace and the fully restored Amber Room.

Days 8-9: St. Petersburg

Spend a day exploring St. Petersburg, including a backstage tour of the famous Mariinsky Theater. Attend a performance here, followed by an exclusive reception for Golden Eagle travelers hosted by Lady Solti, one of the BBC's original team of presenters and now Chairman of the Mariinsky Theater Trust.
