Wroclaw

Wroclaw

Originally a Slavic settlement already established by the year 1000, Wroclaw was for hundreds of years called Breslau and ruled by Germans. Today Wroclaw’s cobbled Old Town, built around its wonderful 700-year-old Town Hall, artfully combines Germanic Gothic, Viennese baroque and Flemish Renaissance influences. The university’s Leopoldine Hall is one of the most beautifully ornate baroque interiors in Europe.
