MIR Client Photo Spotlight: Christmas Traditions of Poland
This beautiful photo by longtime MIR traveler David W. Allen captures the hush of the Polish Christmas Eve Wigilia, or vigil, as Warsaw’s Christmas tree illuminates the beginning of the Royal Road to Wilanow Castle. Scenes such as this met David on the 2012 Christmas Traditions of Poland small group tour, led by MIR’s Director of Sales, Joanna Millick. Thanks for the memories, David.
Christmas, Polish-StyleOn this holiday tour of Christmas traditions, participants browse the brilliant stalls of the Christmas Market in Krakow; learn how to make traditional Polish-style pierogi, Poland’s national dish, with a private chef; and drive into the foothills of the Tatra Mountains to discover the timber architecture, embroidered costumes and savory cuisine of the Polish highlanders, or gorale. Then they join a Polish family for a traditional Wigilia, the Christmas Eve vigil and dinner.
Travel to Poland with MIRIn addition to MIR’s Christmas Traditions of Poland small group tour, you can travel to Poland with MIR any time of the year on our Essential Poland independent journey or on a custom private journey.
