The destination was given the #10 spot in the magazine’s recent round-up of “30 Romantic Adventures.”

Thanks to U.S.-based travel company Mir Corporation, even the Siberian wilderness in the depths of winter is a vacation possibility…Sure, you could have taken the (much warmer) Trans-Siberian railway, but as Traveler contributor Sophy Roberts writes, when practically every inch of the globe is now mapped, “the ultimate luxury is having the freedom to travel widely in the first place, to parts of the world where one encounters no other tourists.”
