Here are a few ideas for how you can strategize:
  1. Track your travel achievements and let MIR cheer you on

  3. Dig in and focus on one destination
  4. Don’t have a lot of time? Make it quick

1. Track your travel achievements and let MIR cheer you on

Take the world’s 5th Most Traveled Person, Bill Altaffer, a long-time MIR traveler with his own travel company. At this writing, he has checked off 820 of the 875 “countries, territories, autonomous regions, enclaves, geographically separated island groups, and major states and provinces” that make up the Most Traveled People’s list of all the places in the world. He’s checked off quite a few of them with the help of MIR.

We even offer a way to travel with Bill Altaffer in 2015: Bill is leading a one-time MIR tour from the Russian Arctic to the Southern Steppe.

If you have slightly more modest goals, you can join the Travelers Century Club – as soon as you have been to “only” 100 of the 324 countries and territories on their list.

Or, just for fun, track your travels on a website that generates a map of the places you’ve already been.

Even if you don’t track your travels carefully, you probably have a list of places you want to see and experience. Believe us, we’re right there with you. Each of us at MIR has a personal list of places we want to go next, and we love to check them off.

And we’re your cheering section, ready to support and assist you in checking off your travel dreams. We want to help you write, “Been there – done that” across your destination list. We’re ready to help you jump right in!
